Honda is calling the S660 a concept, but when company president Takanobu Ito took to the stage at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, one of the first things he did was confirm this exciting new small sports car – the spiritual successor to the Honda Beat – will be going into production in 2015. This is great news for Honda, and Ito-san acknowledged a next-generation small sports car has been long awaited by Honda fans, who’ve had little excitement to cheer about since the last Civic Type R and the S2000 roadster were stripped from the model line up. Audi UK has announced prices and availability of the Audi TT RS Plus, the go-faster variant of the already-very-fast RS version of the Audi TT. Audi TT RS Plus: I killed the last guy who called me a 'hairdresser's car'
The Audi TT RS introduced the regular TT to a gobfull of turbocharged 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine, along with an upgraded chassis, to deliver 335bhp to the road through the Haldex clutch branch of the Quattro family tree. With the TT TS Plus, Audi has now seen fit to grant an extra 20bhp, bumping the total to 355bhp.
The British Excite Rally Raid Team has taken delivery of the new Range Rover Evoque based Desert Warrior 3 off-road race car. Under the skin, the Evoque is not exactly a Land Rover but gets its power from a 3.0 litre BMW twin-turbo diesel with 275bhp (or 350bhp when unrestricted) and 479lb/ft of torque which runs through a six-speed ZF sequential ‘box. The chassis of the Desert Warrior 3 is completely bespoke and made from T45 tubes and all designed in-house and tested over the last three Dakars.
